Rex Miller is Professor Emeritus of Industrial Technology at the State University of New York College at Buffalo where he taught technical curriculums at the college level for more than 40 years. Dr. Miller is the author or coauthor of more than 100 textbooks and a like number of magazine articles. His books include McGraw-Hill’s bestselling Electrician’s Pocket Manual, Carpentry & Construction and Electricity and Electronics for HVAC.
Mark R. Miller is Professor and Coordinator of Industrial Technology at the University of Texas at Tyler. He is the author or coauthor of more than 30 textbooks for trade and technical programs, including Electricity and Electronics for HVAC.

Great buy never had electrical experience

I have never studied electrical nor did I know anything about it, I purchased this book to past the test to get in the apprenticeship program at U.S. Steel . I have not taken the test yet but the book is very easy to follow and when I spoke with the people in the electrical field and they lookes at the book they said it was on poin, I also have three friends that used this book only and passed. I am a women I am machanically inclined but I was not familiar with electrical . This book is great I would recommend it for anyone wanting to begin a career in this filed it starts from A to B best investment your money can buy. I also purchased a used version from Amazon and the book was like new for almost half the cost.

especially when the good explanation was the third one

This book was very poorly designed. Constantly throughout the book it would refer to something, and 195 pages later would define it. Sometimes, it didn't at all. The repetitiveness was aggravating, especially when the good explanation was the third one. My impression is that they just grabbed a bunch of manufacturers literature, and printed it with their name on it. The color pictures in the middle are pretty useless, and don't relate to what's going on.
ALL that being said, YES I did learn something, and that's why it got 2 stars. There is info in there to be had, its just hard to get it out.
