Andrew Staniforth is an experienced counter-terrorism investigator who is responsible for designing and delivering training to counter-terrorism officers at one of the four specialist Counter Terrorism Units in the UK. He has been commended for his work on counter-terrorism training by West Yorkshire Police and has also been involved in developing national exercises to examine the preparedness of both covert and overt police counter terrorism assets.

If you thought her book, "Daughters of the King" was awesome, as I did, then please do as I did, read the book from front to cover and share it with the leaders that you are mentoring as I am. I am so impressed with this book that I am making it mandatory for all of my board members and ministry leaders to read, as well as I am featuring the book on my internet based talk show designed to encourage women in leadership, "GeneSIS Talks with DrV" the month of July 2013. DrGail has agreed to do an interview with me and I can hardly wait to have her expound on the principles she has outlined in this book that helps you in the home, workplace, your business, and ministry. Ready To Lead

When I learned Dr. Gail had written another book, I could not wait to get my hands on this one!! When I begin to read I wanted to understand obtaining leadership roles in the 21 century. I read the book with an open mind and saw alot of my coworkers giving up on themselves for not having leadership roles or not having confidence in themselves to move forward, stay in your lane but be a true leader. I have read various books in my life and taking self quizzes to identify who I am which has helped me tremendously!!When you read just 1 chapter of a book like this not more,then you might just miss the Big Boat of Success!! . Dr.Hayes keep writing!! As the little girl said in the Commerical: "We want more, we want more"!!

A Workmanlike Job

This is a day by day, game by game, entertaining journal of Rangers' strange odyssey at the bottom of Scottish football. It is largely focused on the games, players and Ally McCoist with some discussion of the reaction of towns and teams visited. It is not the source for insight into the financial matters which led to imposed relegation or the details of the decision itself. As a journalistic telling of this intriguing and moving tale it does its job well. In sum, we have a details book which keeps the readers' interest throughout.
Warning to old school Rangers supporters: There are a few, short digressions concerning
"sectarian singing" and the like based on the assumptions of the current poltical/social power structure. (One wonders in this regard why Government Enforced Egalitarianism is not a "sect?") In any event, this is not the book to go to for an analysis of how much of Rangers traditional identity may be stripped before Penny Arcade and banal blue flags have forced out the last remnants of Sash singing, Red Hand flag waving supporters who yet resist the attempt to reduce the Gers to yet another faceless, memory-less, mass marketed commodity.
But get the book anyway. It will serve as a record of a remarkable season.

Informative, but not exciting

I'm torn on how to rate this book. I was really interested to read an account of Rangers' first season out of the Scottish top division (as a result of their financial difficulties). This was certainly that book, but the writing itself lacked a certain amount of excitement. This book, however, is essentially a series of match reports with just a little bit of background and personal reflection added. The prose is plodding, for example: "A bit like the remains of Richard III, which had turned up in a car park in Leicester, the sectarian element within the club’s support refused to remain buried firmly in the past." Stretching to include a reference to something that was in the news at the time, but now feels a little bit dated? Check. Having to explain the reference, thus complete deflating it? Check.

So I'm glad to have read the book, because it brought me up to speed on what happened last season. Now, however, I'm reading BBC Sport's coverage of Rangers, so I don't think I'd be interested in the author's similar take on the 2013-14 season.

The book covers the Ottoman, French, Muhammad Ali’s, and the British informal and formal empires. It alludes to the U.S. and its failed market economy in Upper Egypt, which partially resulted in Qina’s participation in the 2011 revolution. Imagined Empires is a timely addition to Middle Eastern and world history.

EXCELLENT says it all

The author went to great effort to produce a high quality book on fall hunting. It is written for one who has not hunted turkeys before. It has lots of color photos. It is absolutly not a book (as many are) quickly thrown together to make a quick dollar or two.
I pre ordered this book as there are no modern books devoted exclusively to fall hunting. I was not disappointed. I've hunted spring birds for many, many years but only started fall hunting three years ago as seasons opened. It was tough going. I had a lot to learn and I learned a lot from this book. The author covers all aspects ,in great detail, of fall hunting and leaves nothing out. Hickoff is a professional writer and it is obvious he has much experience with fall birds. This combination resulted in a great book. I highly recommend it.
One negative comment however: Turkey hunting is my passion.I also like to spend a lot of time in the woods. The book caused me to have a very short season (unlike past unsuccessful seasons).But, when you punch your tag you are done.
Buy and read this book and you will also have a shorter season.

Turkey hunters handbook

Its one of the few books on turkey hunting that zeros in on fall and winter hunting as opposed to spring hunting. Steve Hickoff has an easy to follow layout which makes it like the FAQs of fall and winter turkey hunting. Many of his examples come from New York and the northeast, where I hunt, so that is another plus for me. Additionally it also has great photographs which are sometimes instuctive and other times simply inspire one to grab the shotgun go turkey hunting.

I just received this book written by Steve Hickoff, and let me say, this guy has such a passion for turkeys and turkey hunting, I dont believe there could be a better book on the market dealing with the fall and winter turkey season. I havent even read half the book yet and already have such a better handle (for the newbe I am) for the fall and winter season. I strongly recommend this book for all people of all ages, experienced turkeys hunters and begginers alike. All in all if you want a better understanding of turkeys during the fall and winter months get this book!!! It will answer all your questions, from gun hunters to bow hunters. ENJOY!!!
