Gave me the strength

I bought this book MINUTES after leaving my house. I read it while at the women's shelter. It gave me the strength I needed to stay out.
I'm an entrepreneur, "strong" woman who never thought she'd find herself in "that" type of situation. Well, I did, and this book helped me tremendously.

This helped me begin to understand that, although I was told this daily, my abuse was not my fault. I hope that more women, men, and the legal system will start making changes now to help all victims of domestic violence. I learned after calling the police after a physical assault that verbal abuse is also considered domestic violence. Hope that helps; I live in Texas so it may be different where you are. Keep your head up, stay strong, and don't put up with the abuse anymore. You CAN do it. Well wishes and keep safe a SECRETescape plan saved my daughter and my life so,if possible, I strongly advise you to form one. It is NOT being deceitful. It is protecting your life, and you DO matter. Also, you are not crazy.
